As a Marine Corps infantry veteran, I put my body through things most people never will. The military's answer to pain? NSAIDs - handed out like candy. Years of that left me with ulcers and severe gastritis that derailed my life.
I did everything conventional medicine asked. Two invasive procedures under sedation. Maximum-dose PPIs. Test after test. For 10 years, I got no real answers - only prescriptions that masked symptoms while creating new problems.
I trained in functional gastroenterology, advanced peptide therapy, and specialty testing - food sensitivity panels, GI mapping - the tools conventional medicine never offered me. For the first time in a decade, I got off the PPIs and felt normal again. That was 6 years ago. I never looked back.
